My exciting venture as a columnist for Geeky Universe is finally coming to fruition. On Wednesday December 14, 2011, Marvel launched its debut issue of Avengers: X-Sanction #1 on sales shelves, beginning the next biggest event in the Marvel Universe: Cable v. The Avengers.

I’ve recently accepted a position as a columnist for “Goddess Magazine” doing expos on fashion, film, and culture. This is a new venture for me, considering “Goddess’” content might be akin to what you would find in Marie Claire or Glamour.
My goal will be to write articles that feature film critiques and television highlites that women of all races might feel that they could take an interest in.
On Hair and Moving Away from Home
Now this isn’t quite an apology, per se, but I appreciate someone making the observation that non-traditional hair on a male (read: not short or crew-cut) is considered socially suspect upon sight. I encountered this symptom of conservatism in Springfield, MO on a near-daily basis–one customer at work even insisted on calling me “Ma’am,” another “Princess,” despite my correcting.
